Casino promo code, no deposit: one string, different offers

A promo code is a delivery mechanism. The string typed into the registration form tells the casino which partner sent the player, and the casino credits whatever offer it has registered against that partner. That is why the same code appears on many pages here and pays 100 spins at 20x at one brand and 100 spins at 45x at another, and why a code lifted from another site can credit nothing. How a code works

Casinos pay partners for players, and a promo code is one way of attributing a player to a partner: the partner registers a string with the casino, the casino attaches an offer to it, and a player who types the string at registration is tagged to the partner and credited the offer. The offer is the casino's decision, brand by brand. Our code, GET100 at most brands, GET50 at Vodka and FREEGAMBLE at Riobet, is one string; behind it Vavada has registered 100 spins on The Dog House at 20x on the winnings, Play Fortuna 100 spins on Book of Dead at 20x with a 100-unit cap, Jet 100 spins on a chosen slot at 45x with a 10x cap, and so on down the cards. The string is the same because the partner is the same, and the offers differ because the casinos do.

What the code is not

It is neither a discount nor a secret nor a key to a hidden offer. It is a tag, and the offer it credits is printed in the casino's own promotion terms under the partner's name.

Where the field is

On most registration forms the promo code field is visible below the password, and on many it is folded behind a link reading "I have a promo code" or "Enter bonus code" that has to be clicked before the field appears; on a few brands the field is in the profile after registration, under bonuses or promotions, and the code has to be entered there before any deposit; Vavada is the main example on this site, with no promo field on its form at all. The verification page shows the field on each form as we found it, with the code typed in and the confirmation the form gave, because the form is the only place a code is proven. The bonus card for each brand says which of the three positions applies and whether activation in the profile is a second step.

The confirmation

A recognised code changes something on the form: a green tick, the offer's name, a line reading "code applied". Silence after typing is a code the form did not accept, and the account should not be created until it does.

What goes wrong

Four things, in the order the reviews met them. The code was entered after the account was created, at a brand where the field closes at registration, and no code can be applied later. The country is on the restricted list, so the account was created and the bonus withheld or the account closed at verification; the bonus card prints the markets the brand closes. Activation in the profile was required and missed, so the spins were credited to the account and never started, and expired. Or the code came from another site whose partner has been deregistered, and the form ignored it. The not-credited page takes each in turn with what to do, and the claiming page walks through the forms so that none of the four happens.

Codes and second accounts

A code does not entitle a player to a second account at a brand where the first one exists; the one-account clause voids both. The twice page covers what is and is not allowed.

Questions about promo codes

Why is the code the same at so many casinos

Because it is our partner code, registered with each brand that lists it here, and the brands set their own offers behind it. GET100 is one string typed into different forms; the spins, the slot, the multiplier and the cap are the casino's, and the card for each says which.

Does a code from another site work

Only if that site's partner registered it with the casino and the offer is still live. A code is a tag the casino recognises or does not; an unrecognised one is ignored at best and at some brands blocks the field. Type the code from the page you are reading and check the confirmation on the form.
