The Hand of Midas: sticky Wilds and a minimum feature win

The gold W medallion substitutes for every ordinary symbol and can land on reels 2, 3 and 4. It cannot substitute for the golden-hand Scatter. In Free Spins, each new Wild stays in its position until the round ends, so later spins use the held positions when making their line combinations. Special feature reels are in play during this round.

Each new Wild also adds 1x, 2x or 3x to the general feature multiplier. That multiplier applies to the combined line winnings of every feature spin. You follow two things at once: how the held Wild positions help form combinations, and how much the growing general multiplier adds to a paying spin.

Scatters appear only in the base game. The extra spins in this original feature come from the shortfall check; landing more Scatters inside Free Spins is not its retrigger mechanism. Sticky Wilds remain held until the round finishes, including while the same round continues with extra spins.

The original uses a five-reel, three-row grid with 20 fixed payline patterns. An ordinary win needs at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting on the leftmost reel and following a payline. Symbols sitting elsewhere on the grid do not automatically join that line's combination.

Only the highest combination pays on an individual line. A five-Midas line receives its five-symbol value, without adding the three- and four-symbol values again. Winning amounts from different lines are added together before the whole-spin multiplier is applied.

The native paytable expresses amounts in multiples of the line bet. Normal Play costs 20 line-bet units, so dividing a raw value by 20 gives the multiple of the normal total stake. The cards show both units. For example, five King Midas symbols pay 400x the line bet, equivalent to 20x the normal total stake before any Wild multiplier. Ante Bet uses a different total-cost denominator.

The title alone does not identify the casino's served RTP or stake settings. Open the game's information screen and read the displayed RTP, then compare the total BET amount with the paytable. A PLN or EUR account does not turn the GBP minimum into a minimum for that other currency. The 500,000 CZK cash ceiling is likewise specific to its Czech configuration.

The documented settings also separate ambient music, sound effects and the introductory screen, with a game-history page. Where the documented Autoplay menu is present, its stop settings include any win, a feature trigger, a single-win threshold, or a specified balance increase or decrease. Available controls can differ in a casino's served version; the rules explanation does not require those menu options to be present everywhere.

Hand of Midas 2 is a distinct Pragmatic Play sequel, announced on 27 June 2024, with an advertised 8,000x maximum. Its 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x Wild values and Scatter retriggers are sequel mechanics. The original covered here uses 1x, 2x and 3x Wild additions, the minimum-win shortfall retrigger and a 5,000x cap.

The original is the choice when you want one sticky-Wild board and a bonus floor tied to its initial Scatter count. Watch the general multiplier and the accumulated feature win together: the first sets what a paying spin receives, and the second determines whether the round needs extra spins when its allocation finishes. That is the useful distinction to recognise before choosing the edition.
