Casino account in PLN or EUR: where a Polish player loses the rate

Hold the balance in the currency your money already sits in. A złoty deposit into a EUR account is converted twice, once in and once out, and each conversion happens at a rate the casino or the bank sets. The brands that keep a PLN balance avoid both; the ones that run EUR only can still be the right choice when their payout ceiling or their bonus is written in euros.

Where the exchange rate is taken from you

Three places, and a Polish player can hit all three on one deposit. The casino: a brand with no PLN balance converts a złoty deposit at its processor's rate, and converts the payout back. The bank: a Polish card paying a EUR merchant applies the issuer's rate and, at some banks, a markup. The wallet: Skrill charges 3.99% on currency exchange, so a PLN Skrill balance paying a EUR cashier costs that on top. BLIK cannot help here because it works only for PLN accounts, per mBank's own FAQ, which is why BLIK-funded brands that settle in EUR, such as Legzo, convert on arrival.

The clean path is a PLN balance funded by BLIK, a Polish card or a PLN transfer, paid out to a Polish bank. No conversion touches it. The PLN casinos page is the list built on that path; this page is about when to leave it.

What Revolut charges between PLN and EUR

Revolut is the account many Polish players use for a EUR casino, and its exchange rules are published. A customer with a Polish address gets a Polish account number for PLN and a Lithuanian IBAN for EUR, both inside one app. Exchanging between them is free on weekdays up to a monthly allowance that depends on the plan: PLN 5,000 on Standard, PLN 15,000 on Plus, no additional exchange fees on Premium, Metal and Ultra. Above the allowance Standard adds 1% and Plus 0.5%. On weekends, from 5pm Friday to 6pm Sunday Eastern Time, a markup applies to every exchange whatever the allowance: 1% on Standard and 0.5% on Plus.

The practical reading: exchange on a weekday, in one lot, inside the allowance, and keep the EUR balance for the month's deposits rather than converting per deposit. Which brands open to Poland keep a złoty balance

The brands below accept Polish players and list PLN as an account currency in our data. What differs between them is what else is written in złoty. Play Fortuna publishes a payout cap of PLN 40,000 a day rising to PLN 180,000 at diamond status; Booi publishes PLN 40,000 a day; Rox publishes PLN 16,000 a day, PLN 80,000 a week and PLN 320,000 a month, with a Poland-only first-deposit offer at a PLN 50 minimum; Sol's Polish offer has a PLN 50 minimum deposit and a PLN 100 minimum withdrawal; Jet's Polish bonus group gets 100% up to PLN 1,500 on the first deposit at a PLN 50 minimum; Cactus quotes its first-deposit offer as 150% up to PLN 850; Starda states no currency-conversion fee on a PLN account.

Two cautions. Monro appears in older sources with PLN and in the freshest ones without it, so a Polish player there should expect EUR. And a PLN balance does not mean a Polish interface: Jet, Sol, Rox and Fresh hold złoty and show the site in English, which the Polish language guide sorts out brand by brand.

When EUR is the better balance

When the brand has no PLN. Legzo settles everything in EUR and takes BLIK at a minimum of PLN 100 or EUR 20, so the deposit converts once on arrival; Gizbo takes BLIK into a EUR balance; Vodka holds neither PLN nor BLIK and a Polish player funds it in EUR or crypto. When the ceiling is higher in euros: Vox caps a month at EUR 50,000 or PLN 42,000, and at the rate you will get for the year that is not the same money. When the bonus is written in euros and you want its full size: Sol's standard offer is 100% up to EUR 600, while Polish-facing pages for the same brand advertise a package capped in złoty with different terms; read both before choosing the currency, because the currency you pick at registration usually fixes which offer you see.

Important

The account currency is chosen once at most brands and cannot be changed without a new account, which the terms forbid. Decide before the first deposit, not after the first win.

The legal position. Online casino play in Poland is a state monopoly, Total Casino runs in PLN only and pays to a Polish bank account, and every offshore brand on this page operates without a Polish licence regardless of the currency it holds. The tax position: the flat rate on winnings is 10% and the exemption for slots and table games applies to a provider licensed in an EU or EEA state, so a Curacao or Anjouan balance is outside it in PLN and in EUR alike; the gambling tax guide sets out the articles.
