Sugar Rush slot: clusters that build position multipliers

Sugar Rush pays connected candy clusters on a 7x7 grid, then lets winning positions build multipliers up to 128x. The appealing part is the grid's memory: in free spins, marked positions survive between spins and can keep growing throughout the feature. Pragmatic Play's original game has a 5,000x round ceiling.

A cluster needs at least five matching symbols touching along their sides. Once it pays, its candies disappear, the remaining candies fall down and new candies enter from above. Each new winning cluster pays and disappears in turn, so the drop-and-refill process repeats while further winning clusters form. The tumble sequence stops when no further winning cluster appears. Sugar Rush suits a reader who wants to follow those developing positions rather than fixed paylines.

Follow the positions after the candies disappear

Each square can go through its own history. The first winning explosion marks it. A second winning explosion at that square gives it a 2x multiplier; further winning explosions double it through 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x and 64x to 128x. A square is valuable because of what has happened there, even when the candy occupying it changes.

The ordinary spin and the free-spin feature have different reset points. In the base game, all marks and multipliers clear when that spin's tumble sequence ends, and its tumble wins are credited together after the sequence finishes. A new paid spin starts a fresh grid. During free spins, marks and multipliers stay in place until the entire bonus round ends, so the next free spin can reuse positions developed earlier in that round.

Sugar Rush position history A position becomes marked after its first winning explosion, gains 2x after its second and doubles with further winning explosions, with different reset boundaries in base play and free spins. Explanatory position history. Every transition requires a winning explosion at the same square; merely landing a symbol does not advance it.

The important distinction is between a candy and its position. A winning candy disappears. The position's mark or multiplier remains for the applicable sequence or feature. Simply landing a candy on a square does not develop it: the square progresses when a winning symbol explodes there.

Five touching candies make a cluster

Sugar Rush's 49 positions contain seven ordinary candy symbols and a gumball-machine Scatter. A paying cluster is a connected group of at least five identical symbols, joined horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact alone does not connect them. The shape can bend around the grid; it does not have to begin in the leftmost column or follow a line across the reels.

Count each separate connected group. Two disconnected groups of the same candy are separate clusters; their symbols are not pooled into one larger payout tier. When several clusters win on the same result, their awards add together. For any one cluster, only its highest applicable tier pays. A six-symbol cluster receives the six-symbol amount once, rather than the five-symbol and six-symbol amounts together.

The gumball machine is the Scatter, which triggers free spins by its count anywhere on the grid. The ordinary payout symbols are pink round candy, orange heart, purple jelly bean, green star, and red, purple and orange gummy bears. Sugar Rush's symbol rules have no Wild substitution feature.

The full Sugar Rush paytable

Every value is a multiplier of the total bet, before position multipliers. Each card labels the cluster size beside its payout. The 15+ tier also covers a connected group larger than 15 symbols.

Pink round candy leads the ordinary table: five pay 1x the total bet, and 15 or more pay 150x before position multipliers. Orange gummy bears start at 0.2x for five and reach 20x at 15+. This difference matters when reading a tumble: the same group size can carry a very different underlying award depending on the candy.

For a simple hypothetical example, five pink round candies at a €1 total bet pay €1 with no effective position multiplier involved. The five-symbol 1x table value is multiplied by the €1 bet. The table is expressed in bet multiples, so those values also apply when the displayed monetary amounts use another currency.

Covered multipliers add before the cluster pays

A winning cluster uses the effective multipliers at positions it covers. If that same cluster involves more than one multiplier, those values add together. Multiply the ordinary cluster award by that sum. A multiplier elsewhere on the grid does not contribute to this cluster.

Cluster award = total bet × table payout × sum of its covered effective multipliers.

With no effective multiplier involved, the ordinary table award applies.

In this hypothetical example, seven green stars have a 0.75x ordinary payout. At a €2 total bet their underlying award is €1.50. Suppose the cluster covers positions with effective values of 2x, 4x and 8x. Their sum is 14x, so the cluster pays €2 × 0.75 × (2 + 4 + 8) = €21. The example assumes those are the effective values involved in that winning combination; it does not predict a spin.

Keep the calculations local to each cluster. If another disconnected cluster wins in the same result, calculate its own table award and the multipliers it covers, then add the two awards. Multiplying all grid values together would produce a different answer from Sugar Rush's rule.

Free spins keep the developing grid

Three Scatters award 10 free spins. Higher Scatter counts give a longer starting round, up to 30 spins for seven. The Scatter can appear on every reel, and its trigger count is taken anywhere on the screen.

10 free spins
4 Scatters
12 free spins
5 Scatters
15 free spins
6 Scatters
20 free spins
7 Scatters
30 free spins

The same counts work inside the feature. For example, four Scatters during free spins add 12 more spins, while seven add 30. These are additional spins rather than a replacement for those remaining. Marks and position multipliers continue through those extra spins as part of the same bonus round.

Free-spin winnings use the bet that triggered the feature. No new stake is deducted for each of these in-game free spins, and the feature's win is credited after the round completes. The feature uses special reels, while the familiar cluster and position rules still explain how its awards are calculated. A longer round supplies more spins in which positions can develop; it does not guarantee a larger win or that the multipliers will reach 128x.

Sugar Rush's free-spin award belongs to the game itself. A casino promotion awarding spins is a separate offer with its own eligibility, nominated game and possible wagering conditions. The words "free spins" on a casino banner do not describe the Scatter table above.

Buying the feature costs 100 total bets

The documented Buy Free Spins option costs 100x the current total bet. Its trigger spin randomly contains three, four, five, six or seven Scatters, which determines the starting number of spins using the same table. Paying the purchase price therefore does not mean buying exactly 10 or exactly 30 spins.

At a hypothetical €0.20 total bet, that price is €20. The purchase is one charge for entry into the feature; it is separate from the feature's win. Raising the total bet also raises this cost in direct proportion. The round can return less than its purchase price.

The EUR version cv83-1.0.50687 has a purchase limit of €5,000, corresponding to a €50 total bet. Its ordinary-spin ceiling is €100, so the two stake limits differ. The purchase control's availability and permitted stake must be checked in the particular game configuration before making a purchase.

A 128x position still sits under the 5,000x round cap

128x is the limit for one position. 5,000x the bet is the limit for a round. Adding covered positions can produce a large provisional cluster award, but the total credited win remains subject to the round ceiling. The limit applies in both the base game and free spins.

A hypothetical €1 cap calculation

Consider a hypothetical €1 bet and a 15+ pink-candy cluster with a 150x table award, covering one effective 128x position. The multiplication gives €1 × 150 × 128 = €19,200 before the cap. With no previous win in that round, the credited amount is limited to €5,000. This is a cap calculation, not an example of a recorded win or a method for producing that cluster.

Wins already accumulated consume part of the ceiling. At a total bet B and existing round win W, the remaining room is max(0, B × 5,000 - W). An award exceeding that room is truncated to the remaining allowance. Reaching the ceiling ends the round immediately, and all remaining free spins or features are forfeited.

The EUR version's stated €500,000 maximum corresponds to 5,000x its €100 ordinary stake ceiling. It is a configuration limit, not a fixed cash prize attached to every Sugar Rush spin.

Pragmatic Play lists 96.50% RTP for Sugar Rush. The English USD help also gives 96.50% for both regular play and Buy Free Spins. Those matching figures describe their specified game settings; the listing alone does not establish the RTP loaded by a particular casino.

The EUR and USD amounts are separate settings, not converted equivalents. The documented EUR version allows ordinary bets from €0.20 to €100. The English USD help allows $0.20 to $240. Neither range establishes a PLN range or a stake limit at a named casino. Open the information screen of the actual game instance to read its return and limits.

RTP describes a theoretical return over large repeated turnover. At 96.50%, hypothetical aggregate turnover of $1,000 corresponds to a theoretical aggregate return of $965. Turnover counts total stakes, including money wagered repeatedly; it is different from a $1,000 deposit. A short session can produce a very different result. RTP does not give the probability of winning a spin or reaching the maximum.

Sugar Rush's native help labels it high volatility. Its feature can concentrate awards into developed positions, while an ordinary sequence can end before those positions grow. That description is useful for choosing a style of game, but it supplies no numerical hit rate, trigger frequency or maximum-win probability.

Original Sugar Rush or Sugar Rush 1000?

Pragmatic Play released original Sugar Rush in 2022. The useful comparison starts with the position limit, then the round ceiling, then the purchase options. Original Sugar Rush reaches 128x per position and 5,000x per round. Sugar Rush 1000 raises those limits to 1,024x and 25,000x and has a separate 500x Super Buy that begins with all positions at 2x. Those larger limits describe possible caps; they do not establish that a typical round pays more.

The original is the more direct starting point for learning how marks, repeated explosions and additive covered multipliers work. Sugar Rush 1000 adds another purchase choice and higher ceilings. Sugar Rush Super Scatter is another distinct edition; its name should not be used for either of these games.

Sweet Bonanza is also a candy-themed tumble game, but its symbols pay by their count anywhere and its multiplier bombs belong to the tumble sequence. Sugar Rush requires side-connected clusters and develops individual grid positions. Choose between them by the payout logic you want to follow, rather than the shared sweets theme.

What can you usefully change?

You can choose the total bet, decide whether to use an enabled feature purchase and read the game settings before committing to either. The paytable and multiplier arithmetic help explain an award; they provide no timing trick that selects a winning result. A grid cleared after a base sequence has finished carries no developed position into the next paid spin.

For someone drawn to a bonus round that visibly builds over successive spins, original Sugar Rush offers that through its sticky marked positions. Start with the five-symbol threshold and follow one square through the feature. It makes the difference between an ordinary candy replacement and a growing multiplier much easier to recognise.
