Cleocatra: follow the cats and sticky Wilds
Cleocatra keeps its cats in play: a stack on the first reel can start respins, while 2x and 3x Wilds stay in place throughout Free Spins. Their multipliers add together on a winning line. That makes the position of each held Wild worth watching as the feature develops.
Pragmatic Play released this Egyptian cat slot in May 2022. It has two different ways to hold symbols. The base-game respin works towards a win with one particular cat; Free Spins keep the Wilds for the whole feature. The payout examples here use the 40-line, 5x4 configuration.

Follow the cat stack through a respin
A full vertical stack of the same cat on reel 1 can start the base-game respin feature. In the 5x4 configuration, that stack fills the four positions of the first reel. The cat at the start of the line now determines what the feature is trying to connect.
All cats of that same type, together with the Wilds, remain on screen. Other positions respin. This continues until the stacked cat forms at least one winning combination. Holding a green cat when the stack consists of blue pharaoh cats would be a different rule: Cleocatra holds the matching cat type.
The stopping condition matters. A respin sequence works towards a matching-cat line win; it does not give you a fixed number of extra paid spins. A line paying three matching symbols can satisfy that condition. The feature does not need to fill every reel with the highest-paying cat before it finishes.
Wilds add their values on the line they help
The golden pyramid is the Wild. It appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and substitutes for ordinary symbols. It cannot substitute for the paw Scatter. Each Wild receives a 2x or 3x multiplier, which applies to winning combinations containing that Wild.
With more than one Wild in the same winning combination, add their multipliers. A 2x Wild and a 3x Wild give that combination 5x. A Wild elsewhere on the screen does not increase a line that never passes through it. This is why the positions matter as much as the numbers printed on the pyramids.
A hypothetical EUR 2 spin
At a total stake of EUR 2 across 40 lines, the line bet is EUR 0.05. Suppose an active line contains a five-symbol Cleocatra combination, including a 2x Wild and a 3x Wild. Five Cleocatra symbols pay 400 times the line bet:
EUR 2 / 40 = EUR 0.05 per line
400 x EUR 0.05 x (2 + 3) = EUR 100 on that line
The EUR 100 is an illustrative payout for that specified combination. It is not a result from playing the game or an estimate of how often the combination appears. Any other winning lines are calculated separately and then added to the spin's win.
Read the payouts in line bets
Ordinary symbols pay from left to right, on adjacent reels beginning with reel 1, along a selected payline. Three, four or five matching symbols pay the corresponding amount. Scattered matching cats elsewhere on the grid do not automatically make a line win.
All ordinary values in the following paytable multiply the line bet, not the total stake. The table covers the 40-line configuration. Each row keeps its own three-, four- and five-symbol values.

Only the highest win on each line is paid. A five-symbol result therefore does not also collect that row's three-symbol and four-symbol amounts on the same line. Wins on different lines are added together. Respins and Free Spins contribute to the round's total, with the feature payout credited when the round completes.
The paw Scatter uses a different unit: three or more Scatters pay 5x the total bet, wherever they appear on the reels. Four or five Scatters still pay that 5x Scatter amount; their larger reward is the greater starting number of Free Spins.
How the 40 paths cross the grid
Number rows from 1 at the top to 4 at the bottom. Read each path across reels 1 to 5. Line 1 is 1-1-1-1-1, the top horizontal row; line 4 is the bottom row, 4-4-4-4-4. Line 13, 1-2-3-2-1, travels down and back up. Matching symbols need to follow that route to count together.
The expandable path list contains all 40 patterns for this configuration. It helps distinguish a genuine line combination from cats that happen to sit nearby. If your game displays a different line count, use its own path map and stake breakdown; the EUR 2 / 40 example belongs to the 40-line version.

Free Spins keep every Wild to the end
Scatters can appear on every reel. In the base game, 3 Scatters award 8 Free Spins, 4 award 12, and 5 award 16. The Scatter payout is separate from any wins earned during those spins.
A hypothetical three-Scatter start
For example, at a hypothetical EUR 2 total stake, three Scatters pay 5 x EUR 2 = EUR 10 and start 8 Free Spins. EUR 10 is the Scatter award; it is not the eventual value of the feature. The spins can add their own line wins.
During Free Spins, every Wild landing on reels 2 to 5 stays in its position for the entire round. Its randomly assigned 2x or 3x value stays the same until the feature ends. A 2x Wild does not become a growing round-wide multiplier simply because another spin takes place.
This changes how a later spin can pay. A held Wild remains available to help a new winning line, and a newly landed Wild can join it. When both are in that same combination, their values add together. There is no need to re-land the original Wild to use it on the next spin.
A cat stack adds two more Free Spins
Free Spins use a special reel set. A full stack of any cat on reel 1 adds 2 Free Spins during the feature. This is different from the base-game respin rule: the Free Spins stack extends the spin count. The extension is triggered by a full cat stack, rather than by counting extra Scatters.
The feature can therefore continue beyond its initial 8, 12 or 16 spins when those stacks appear. The exact number of extensions is determined by the round; the initial award is not a fixed final length.
A feature buy costs 100 stakes
The Free Spins buy, where available in the game, costs 100x the current total stake. Its triggering spin can randomly land 3, 4 or 5 Scatters, which correspond to the 8-, 12- or 16-spin starts. Buying the feature does not let you choose the largest starting award.
At a hypothetical EUR 1 total stake, the purchase costs EUR 100. That is the price of entering the feature, not a balance that the game promises to return. Compare it with an ordinary EUR 1 spin before choosing: one click on the buy spends the equivalent of 100 such stakes.
The documented EUR configuration gives both ordinary play and the Free Spins buy a 94.50% RTP. Buying changes how you reach the feature and how much you spend at once. The equal percentage does not make the purchase a guaranteed profit or a way to collect the maximum on demand.
The round stops at 5,000x
The total win limit is 5,000x the total stake, applying to the base game and its features. Once that limit is reached, the round ends immediately, the capped win is awarded and any remaining feature play is cancelled.
At a hypothetical EUR 1 stake, 5,000x equals EUR 5,000. If there are Free Spins left when the round reaches that amount, they do not continue beyond the cap. The 100x buy price does not become the stake used to turn this cap into a larger cash figure: the reference in this example is the EUR 1 total stake.
This ceiling describes the maximum permitted round total. It says nothing about the probability of reaching it. The held Wilds explain how line wins are multiplied; they do not supply a prediction of the next spin's result.
Choose the RTP setting and stake together
Pragmatic Play lists 96.20% RTP for Cleocatra. The 40-line EUR rule set used for these payout examples has 94.50% RTP, including its 100x Free Spins buy. Keep those figures attached to their configurations. A catalogue percentage does not establish the return setting of every casino's copy of the game.
RTP describes theoretical return across a very large amount of play. It is not your chance of winning a spin, the chance of starting Free Spins, or a promise to get that proportion of a session's money back. A short run can finish far above or below the percentage.
EUR stakes in the 40-line game
The EUR configuration has a EUR 0.20 minimum total stake and EUR 100 maximum. These are total-spin stakes, not amounts per line. They do not establish PLN or USD limits. In a different currency or game configuration, use the values in that game's bet menu.
Cleocatra has a high volatility label. The useful distinction is between the game's long-run return percentage and the uneven size and timing of individual wins. High volatility does not give a numerical hit rate or tell you how many spins you will wait for the feature.
The sticky Wild feature is the reason to consider Cleocatra if you like following a changing grid over several spins. The amount spent at the selected stake remains a separate choice. Raising it increases the cash cost of each spin and the buy; it does not make the feature arrive on a schedule.
