Wild West Gold pays matching symbols from the leftmost reel across adjacent reels on a selected payline. The matching run can cover three, four or five reels. Symbols elsewhere in the grid do not join the run merely because they show the same face. The forty line paths include straight and changing-row patterns; a payline follows its own path across the five reels.

The payout numbers use bet per line, which is a different unit from the total amount charged for a spin.
