Gas this month, measured
On 4 September 2026 a USDT transfer on Ethereum cost about 0.0359 USD at the tracker we read, against 2.12 to 4.43 USD on Tron, 0.0218 USD on BNB Chain and 0.0015 USD on Polygon. Over the preceding week the hourly Ethereum figure ran from 0.004 to 0.37 USD, an almost hundredfold range, while Tron sat between 2.06 and 2.19 USD the whole time. Two conclusions follow: Ethereum is the cheaper network for a stablecoin transfer this month, and any Ethereum fee is a figure with a date on it. For a native ETH withdrawal Stake publishes a minimum of 0.001 ETH and a fee of 0.00067447 ETH; BitStarz charges nothing on its side; the others leave the gas to the sender and the rate to themselves.
Paying gas in the token
Trust Wallet's FlexGas pays the gas in USDT, USDC or TWT on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism and Base, so a wallet with no ETH can still send a stablecoin on those networks; Tron is absent from that list. The wallets and networks guide sets out what each wallet can and cannot do.
Layer-two networks and the wrong-network trap
A deposit address at a casino belongs to one network, and a coin sent on another is gone unless the casino's support can recover it, which most cannot.
