Crypto deposit bonus: why a casino pays more for a coin than a card
A casino does not reward crypto out of enthusiasm. It rewards it because a card deposit arrives under a merchant code the banks dislike, with a chargeback attached, through an acquirer that needed special permission to touch it, and a coin deposit arrives with none of that. This guide follows the saving from the card scheme to the bonus page.

What a card deposit costs the casino before it costs you anything
Every card payment to a casino carries merchant category code 7995, betting and casino gambling. Visa and Mastercard place that code in a restricted category: the acquirer that serves the casino needs an explicit approval and a separate merchant ID before it may process a single deposit. Since the Visa Integrity Risk Program came into force, gambling sits in its Tier 1, the tier for the highest risk of illegal activity, and a new acquirer in that tier passes a Visa control assessment before it onboards a casino. The casino pays for that permission in the acquirer's pricing, and it pays again in the controls the schemes require of it: stronger identity checks, anti-money-laundering procedures, responsible gambling tools and chargeback monitoring.
Then the deposit has to get through. On the issuing side many banks refuse every 7995 payment with a blanket rule, so the share of refused casino deposits is noticeably higher than in ordinary online shopping and depends on the policy of each bank. And the ones that go through can come back: chargebacks in this category run higher than elsewhere because losses get disputed. A 3-D Secure prompt, which the schemes recommend strongly and many jurisdictions require, reduces that risk and adds one more step where a deposit can die.
| Merchant code | 7995, betting and casino gambling; restricted at Visa and Mastercard |
|---|---|
| Acquirer | explicit approval and a separate merchant ID required |
| Visa programme | Integrity Risk Program, gambling in Tier 1, control assessment for new acquirers |
| Issuers | many refuse every 7995 payment by rule |
| Chargebacks | elevated in the category because losses get disputed |
| 3-D Secure | strongly recommended, mandatory in many jurisdictions |
What a coin deposit removes
A coin arrives from an address. There is no issuer to refuse it, no acquirer to price it, no merchant code to file it under and no chargeback to reverse it; the chain confirms the transfer and the only fee is the network's, paid by the sender. The casino keeps the acquirer's margin, keeps the declined deposits it would have lost, and keeps the disputed ones it would have refunded. The identity check does not disappear, it moves to the withdrawal, which is why coin cashiers verify before the first payout rather than before the first deposit.
That is the saving. What follows is how much of it each brand hands back, and in what shape.
How the saving comes back: the boost
The most direct form is a bigger match on the coin deposit. 1xSlots labels most of the coins on its official payments page, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana, TRON, XRP, Dogecoin and the rest of roughly thirty-seven, with a crypto deposit boost. The same brand's bonus rules exclude crypto accounts from the welcome package, whose first-deposit match runs from 100 to 150 percent at forty times wagering within seven days, so the boost is the coin account's version of the package, not an addition to it. The choice is made when the account currency is set.
Cryptoboss, Auf and Unlim, which share one partner network, run the same no deposit card of 100 free spins at fifty times wagering for coin and fiat players alike; the crypto reward there is not in the bonus but in the cashier, where Cryptoboss lists coins and cards and no bank transfer at all.

How the saving comes back: cashback with no wagering
Winz turns the saving into a running rebate. It runs no classic percentage offer; coin players get a 20 percent daily cashback on net crypto losses with no upper cap and zero rollover, next to wager-free spins across the first deposits and a first-deposit wheel with a top prize of 10,000 dollars. A cashback with no wagering is the honest shape of a crypto reward: there is no stake cap to breach, no eligible-games list and no cashout ceiling to void. Booi pays a weekly cashback with no wagering next to unlimited coin withdrawals, which is the same idea on a weekly clock.

How the saving comes back: ceilings and speed
The quietest reward is the withdrawal ceiling. Booi lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, XRP, TRON and USDT as unlimited next to a 10,000 euro daily cap on fiat. Starda allows 50,000 euro a day, 250,000 a week and a million a month in crypto against 4,000, 20,000 and 80,000 in fiat at the same status. Legzo allows about 50,000 dollars a day in coins against 4,000 euro in fiat. Jet gives every player a flat 50,000 dollars a day, 250,000 a week and a million a month in crypto while its fiat ladder depends on loyalty level. Lex caps crypto at a million dollars a month and lifts the cap at its top tier. Stake states no maximum for coins at all.
Speed is the other half. Bitstarz states an average cashout time under ten minutes and aims to pay within an hour, at zero fee between 50 and 50,000 euro per coin payout, while its bank transfers take three to ten banking days. Lex quotes crypto often within ten to thirty minutes, Winz within an hour, Monro in minutes, Booi in hours after verification against one to five days for cards. A casino that pays a coin in minutes is passing on the same saving as one that pays a boost: nothing in the chain has to be waited for.
| Booi | coins unlimited; fiat EUR 10,000 a day |
|---|---|
| Starda | crypto EUR 50,000 a day; fiat EUR 4,000 a day |
| Legzo | crypto about USD 50,000 a day; fiat EUR 4,000 a day |
| Jet | crypto USD 50,000 a day for every player |
| Bitstarz | coins under 10 minutes on average, zero fee; bank 3-10 banking days |
| Stake | no maximum for coins; published fee per coin |
The catch: where the saving is taken back
Three clauses recover part of what the coin gave. The same-coin rule: Jet pays crypto only on winnings from crypto deposits, 1xSlots and Riobet send the payout through the rail that deposited, so a card deposit cannot leave as a coin and a coin cannot leave as a card refund. The conversion fee: 1xSlots charges when a crypto deposit becomes a fiat balance, which is the one way to lose the boost after earning it. The playthrough rule: 1xSlots refuses a payout if total stakes are under half of total deposits, and Vodka deducts 8 percent, at least 4 euro, from a payout whose deposit was not wagered once.
And the check that moved rather than vanished. Play Fortuna, Cactus, Bitstarz, 1Win, Weiss and Fairspin verify before the first payout as a rule; Stake may ask high rollers and its complaint log shows accounts suspended during verification; a few brands print a threshold, Sol at 1,250 euro per withdrawal, Casino-X at 1,000 dollars, Duel at 5,000 euro of lifetime deposits. The coin removed the bank from the deposit. It did not remove the casino from the withdrawal.

Quick answers
Why do casinos give a bigger bonus for crypto deposits
Because a card deposit costs them more and fails more often. Card payments to a casino carry merchant category 7995, a restricted category at Visa and Mastercard that needs a separate acquirer approval, is refused by many issuers by rule and carries elevated chargebacks. A coin deposit has no issuer, no acquirer and no chargeback, and part of that saving is paid back as the boost.
Which casinos pay a crypto deposit bonus
1xSlots labels most coins on its official payments page with a crypto deposit boost. Winz gives coin players a 20 percent daily cashback on net crypto losses with no cap and no rollover in place of a classic offer. Booi, Starda, Legzo and Jet reward the rail with ceilings far above their fiat caps rather than with a percentage.
Is a crypto deposit bonus better than the welcome package
At 1xSlots you cannot have both: crypto accounts are excluded from the welcome package in the same terms that advertise the boost. Compare the boost against the package for the amount you deposit, at forty times wagering within seven days for the package, before you set the account currency.
What is the catch with crypto deposit bonuses
The same-coin rule and the conversion fee. Jet pays crypto only on winnings from crypto deposits, 1xSlots charges when a coin deposit becomes a fiat balance, and 1xSlots refuses a payout if total stakes are under half of total deposits. The bonus is real; the exit is written in the terms.
