The Dog House Multihold: follow the four-board feature
The Dog House Multihold spreads its sticky Wild feature across up to four 5x3 boards. It starts with seven free spins, then opens more boards in order, copying the sticky doghouses into each new field. The appeal is watching a useful Wild position travel through the feature while each board pays its own 20 lines.
Pragmatic Play introduced Multihold in 2023. Choose this edition for its expanding board feature: the number of active fields can grow during the round, and every new board brings extra spins. Its normal game still uses fixed paylines and additive 2x or 3x doghouse multipliers.
Seven spins grow into a four-board feature
Three BONUS paws on reels 1, 3 and 5 trigger the free-spin round and pay 2x the total stake. The documented feature begins on the top-left board, with seven free-spin rounds. The next boards open in this order: top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right.
During the feature, three SCATTER symbols open the next board. Scatters appear only on the latest opened board. Opening a new board also awards a random one, two or three extra spin rounds, so the feature can continue with more time and more fields to evaluate.
Each opened board has the same 20 paylines as the first, and its combinations pay separately. Count the spin rounds and the active boards as different things. One round with three active boards evaluates those three fields; it does not deduct three new ordinary-game stakes.
Follow the newest board's Wilds
Wilds that land on the latest opened board stay in their positions until the feature ends. When the next board opens, it starts with that preceding board's sticky Wilds already in the corresponding positions. This gives the newest board an existing Wild layout to build on.
The copying direction matters. The round progresses from the latest board to the next board; a new Wild on an earlier field should not be treated as a guaranteed addition to every other field. The doghouses on the newest board are the ones to follow as you watch the next opening.
Two boards can open in the same spin. In that case, the extra-spin award happens twice and the Wilds copy into both newly opened boards. Four boards are the ceiling, not an outcome promised by every feature.
A hypothetical spin count
Suppose all three extra boards open before the feature ends, with awards of two, one and three extra rounds. The allocation becomes 7 + 2 + 1 + 3 = 13 spin rounds. Those rounds do not all begin with four active boards: the fields open as the feature develops. Multiplying 13 by four would describe a different, unsupported sequence.
The feature uses special reel sets. Free-spin winnings are settled at the end of the round, and game history groups the complete feature cycle together. The extra boards and copied Wilds explain the feature's progression; they do not give a way to predict when the next scatter or winning line will arrive.
Twenty lines decide which dogs pay

Ordinary combinations run along one of the 20 fixed paylines, starting on reel 1 and continuing left to right through adjacent reels. Three, four or five matching symbols pay. Matching dogs scattered around the board count only when they form one of those line combinations.
Only the highest qualifying combination on each line pays. Wins on different lines add to the total, and the feature evaluates each active board separately. The four dog symbols pay more than the collar, bone and card symbols, with the Rottweiler at the top of the ordinary paytable.
Read the payout in the right stake unit
The ordinary paytable uses line-bet multipliers. With 20 fixed lines, the line bet is the total stake divided by 20. For example, a €1 total stake means €0.05 on each line. The Rottweiler's five-symbol coefficient is 500x that €0.05 line bet, giving €25 before participating Wild multipliers.
The cards show each ordinary payout as a multiple of the total stake, converted by dividing its native line coefficient by 20. Each smaller label preserves the original line-bet number. A 25x total-stake win and a 500x line-bet win are the same five-Rottweiler payout, not two awards to add together.

A 2x and a 3x doghouse make a 5x line multiplier
The doghouse is the WILD. It appears on reels 2, 3 and 4, substitutes for ordinary symbols and carries a random 2x or 3x multiplier. It cannot replace the BONUS paw. Its multiplier applies to a winning line in which that doghouse participates; a Wild elsewhere on the board does not multiply every win.
When two or more doghouses participate in the same winning line, their multipliers add. A 2x and a 3x produce 5x. An ordinary line with no participating Wild uses its normal paytable value. The Wild has no separate standalone cash payout row.
A hypothetical €125 line
Take a €1 total stake and a valid five-symbol Rottweiler combination that includes a 2x and a 3x Wild. Its line-bet payout is €0.05 × 500 = €25. Apply the combined Wild multiplier: €25 × (2 + 3) = €125. This calculation describes one qualifying line, with no other wins included; it is not a played result or a forecast.
The BONUS paw follows a different rule. Three paws on reels 1, 3 and 5 pay 2x the total stake and trigger seven free spins. Keep that trigger payment separate from ordinary line coefficients and from the doghouses' line multipliers. At a €1 total stake, the trigger payment is €2.
The 100x purchase price and the 9,000x round ceiling
The documented EUR configuration has total stakes from €0.20 to €100. Where the feature purchase is offered, buying the free-spin round costs 100x the current total stake. At a €0.20 stake, that is €20 paid upfront for the feature; the ordinary spin price and the purchase price are different amounts.
Choose the stake before confirming a purchase. Raising the stake scales both the cost and money paid by the same winning multiplier. The 100x buy reaches the feature without waiting for the base-game paw trigger, but it does not promise a four-board round or a return equal to its cost. The range and buy option belong to this EUR setup; an individual casino can serve a different stake menu or omit the purchase control.
The game-round win ceiling is 9,000x the stake. Reaching it ends the round immediately and forfeits remaining free spins. At a €0.20 total stake, the hypothetical ceiling is €1,800. This is the slot's round limit, separate from a casino's account-level withdrawal limit or promotional cashout terms.
Ordinary play and bought features have separate RTP settings
The headline ordinary-game RTP is 96.06%, also shown in Pragmatic Play's game catalogue. The native ordinary-play alternatives are 95.14% and 94.10%. The feature-buy mode has its own 96.08% figure, with 95.10% and 94.06% alternatives. Treat these as separate mode settings rather than assuming a casino always pairs two particular numbers.
RTP is a theoretical long-run return across a very large amount of wagering. It is not the probability that a spin wins, a promise that a bought feature returns its price, or a forecast for a session. Moving from a 96.06% setting to a 94.10% setting changes the mathematical return; the dogs and four-board concept can still look the same.
The documented configuration labels the game high volatility. That describes a design with uneven results and scope for larger wins; it supplies no exact scatter frequency, feature hit rate or chance of reaching 9,000x. A run with no new board does not make the next spin owe you one.
Choose Multihold for the board expansion
Multihold is a good match when the feature you want to watch is a board opening with sticky doghouses inherited from the previous field. There is a clear progression to follow: the newest board supplies the scatters, its Wilds stay, and the next opening brings more spin rounds and another set of separately paid lines. The feature may finish before all four boards open, which makes following the current field more useful than counting on the final layout.
The original keeps one field
The original The Dog House keeps a single 5x3 field and 20 fixed paylines. Its sticky-Wild feature stays on that one board. Choose the original when one field is the format you prefer; its separate free-spin allocation and paytable should be read on the original review.
Megaways changes the winning paths
The Dog House Megaways uses changing ways to win rather than Multihold's fixed 20 lines per board. Its feature modes and Wild arithmetic belong to that edition. A familiar doghouse picture does not make its payout calculation interchangeable with Multihold's additive Wilds.

Open the exact game, then choose the casino account
Pragmatic Play's Multihold game page has the demo destination for this edition. Use the full The Dog House Multihold name when opening it; selecting the original or Megaways would change the rules you are learning. The external game page is a preview destination, not a casino account or a route to withdraw demo credits.
For the account decision, the Vavada review explains its overall games catalogue, account features and bonus choices. Check an individual casino's exact game entry before committing to Multihold: a provider name in a catalogue describes the studio, not every title or RTP setting it serves.

Questions that change the calculation
Are Wild multipliers added or multiplied?
They add when participating in the same winning line. A 2x and a 3x doghouse produce a 5x line multiplier. That multiplier applies after the ordinary line payout has been calculated.
Does every feature open all four boards?
No. The feature starts on the top-left board with seven free-spin rounds. Three feature scatters open the next field, with one to three extra rounds for each opening. Four boards is the maximum layout, not a guaranteed feature result.
Is the Rottweiler's 500x payout based on the whole stake?
It is 500x the line bet for five matching Rottweilers. Dividing by the 20 paylines gives 25x the total stake before participating Wild multipliers.
What happens when the round reaches 9,000x?
The round ends immediately, the capped win is awarded and remaining free spins are forfeited. Extra spin awards do not let the round continue beyond that game limit.
